Japan's WikiLeak Whale-gate: We'll swap research for a kill quota

Blood is in the water and on Japanese whalers’ hands, yet still the boats come.
Despite the ban on commercial whaling worldwide since 1986, Japanese harpooners continue to pillage Australian Antarctic waters under the guise of scientific research. However, a WikiLeak cable shows, that the US was interested in Japan's 2010 disclosure that it would prefer to see a return to whale-hunting-for-profit in lieu of its so-called research. read article »
