Homosexuality could become illegal, and punishable by death in Liberia.
Jewel Taylor, wife of recently convicted former President Charles Taylor* and now a senator, has submitted a bill to the Liberian Parliament amid much debate on homosexuality within the small West African nation. Not only does this law threaten human rights but it also, if passed, could have severe economic implications for Liberia.
