Who is Dominic PEARCE?

Journalist A childhood love of literature cultivated my passion for writing, while my years in high-school specializing in history and world issues led me to study the wacky world of journalism.

I am currently in the final year of a double major in Film and Journalism, two areas of study I hope to combine into documentary making.

My passions and interests involve music (both making and listening to), writing, poetry, film and travel. I am also a part of Sensimilla Productions, a film production crew based here at ECU.

Born in Western Australia, I spent much of my primary and high school years in Singapore. There, I attended the Canadian International School, where I specialized in English Literature, History and World Issues.

Outside of Edith Cowan and my work on Third Degree, I use to co-host 'The In News From Way Out', a music news radio show on Base FM 104.9.

I also use to write for the stations street press, Base.ad, and have contributed work to local music magazine Rockus.com.

After graduating, I plan to work as a free-lance writer, specializing in music journalism and contemporary social and political issues. I wish to work in radio, and hope to one day host my own news show.

Other accomplishments include co-designing and producing a prototype TV commercial for the Water Corporation of Western Australia, which has been the basis of their most recent media campaigns promoting restricted use of water supplies.
