Who is Rafic AOUN?
I have written and sub-edited articles for 3rd degree, an Edith Cowan University news publication, for two months.
Over this time I have improved my journalistic style, enhanced my ability to write well and expand my form of language.
In only my second year of university, I was able to liaise with some very experienced journalists and public relations officers.
Through my work as a journalist, I was able to also meet a large amount of different people and include their opinions and thoughts in my stories.
It was experiences such as these, which allowed me to write articles on the war on Lebanon, the ECU ‘cup of nations’ soccer tournament, the Red Bull Air Race and festival.
Also ECU ‘on-campus’ stories, which allowed me the opportunity to keep students informed on all major events occurring at ECU, including the Jim Beam National Campus Bands Competition.
I believe in information before entertainment, however, it is important that the information is of great quality and relevance to the readers.
I also believe in not sacrificing social responsibility for financial gain and making sure people of all opinions are given a fair opportunity to state their case.
