Journalist Tyson is currently completing his Bachelor of Communications Degree at Edith Cowan University, with a major in Journalism and Broadcasting. Tyson’s areas of expertise are in Australian Rules Football and Tennis. His knowledge and understanding of these two sports are very strong, whilst he also has a very good understanding of a variety of other sports. Tyson also has a good understanding of Agriculture and some livestock. Tyson is originally from a farm in Lake King (450km south-east of Perth). Lake King has a population of around 80 people in the district, and from this, Tyson understands the importance of being involved in a community and having the ability to work with a variety of people.

Growing up on a small farm, hundreds of kilometres away from the city, Tyson Cattle learned early on the importance of community life, getting along with people - and football. It is this early training that has led the journalism and broadcasting student to make his love of agriculture and passion for sport into the foundation of his writing career. His specialty is sports reporting, including the analysis of AFL matches, drafts, trades and coaching, and he hopes to acheive his goal of becoming a highly respected football journalist. But Tyson also enjoys writing about tennis, other sports, and agriculture. He is a reliable worker, who prides himself on showing respect to everyone he meets and interviews.
